There is a steady rise in the percentage of people who are experiencing sensitivities. For many, sensitivity is the first sign of a building allergy. Both allergy and intolerance belong in the sensitivity category, an intolerance may make one ill over time, an allergy can kill very quickly if it is severe.

Having suffered from food intolerance and food poisoning, I can say that food poisoning is a very strong intolerance to a substance. As it decays food produces histamines. Elevated histamine levels cause reactions similar to anaphylactic shock. Airways swell and breathing becomes very difficult. Hives can be localized or spread across the body. Severe headache or migraine can be triggered by food sensitivities. Processed foods, and many pre-prepared foods contains toxins from natural cellular breakdown.
