As a young hedonist my first hot-springs experience took place at Miette in Jasper National Park. Growing up in Northern Alberta I was very familiar with cold springs and the mineral properties of water. Just barely twenty and impatient to find a place to rest I convinced my new husband to turn off the highway toward the Miette Hotspring. I wanted to try my new bathing suit and it was simply the first place that presented itself. The warmth and comfort of the spring waters of Miette was a wonderful surprise. That chance encounter has led to a lifetime love of hot springs
